power effects of various external meeces

It turns out the best mice for power consumption are wired PS/2 mice.
We've done some research on it, but I don't have the data with me right
now.  Maybe we can do more in depth research soon.

Wonder if anyone has anecdotal or measured information
on various external notebook mice as compared to
internal "eraser", touchpad, etc. pointing devices:

* corded USB mouse
* cordless USB mouse
* cordless Bluetooth mouse

as in, does the use of an external mouse kill you
by keeping USB or Bluetooth enabled/busy?
