New broadcom wireless driver uses less power

Hi,

I just noticed that the new b43 driver for Broadcom BCM43xx wireless
devices doesn't wake up as often as the old bcm43xx driver. The old
driver used to wake up about 50 times/s, the new driver is back to
around 10 wakeups/s. It's a busy network over here, I can see around 8
different access points. I expect less wakeups at home where I have
only three access points (and two of them are mostly idle).

The new b43 driver is available in 2.6.24-rc2. Note that you need new
(v4) firmware. See http://www.linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43
for details.
