Thank you for this nice hpet patch.
I didn't had hpet enabled on my desktop so i wontet to try this patch
but sadenly it didn't helped me too. So i made bios_update and it'S
working. I thing you can add to your patch this
PCI_DEVICE_ID_INTEL_ICH7_0 id to make it working for thous ho don't have
new bios. My board use the same hpet adress: 0xFED00000.
