Are hints properly cycled?

Attempting to save power on my gf's laptop, I am now running
powertop-1.7, consistently showing the hint about enabling wireless
power saving.

However, for reasons unknown to me, that specific laptop does have
trouble to maintain a network connection at certain places in our flat,
and even more so when powersaving is on.

Thus, I hesitate to enable powersaving, but wonder if other hints are
"in line to be shown", but are waiting for the wifi powersaving to be
enabled...

Also, I wonder if it would be desirable to keep a preferences file, to
store settings for suppressing certain hints (of course with an option
to reset to no suppression), such that one can disable the showing of
hints that are known to have an adverse effect on overall performance.

Best regards,
