Nope, even with a 'pretty much' vanilla 2.6.22 kernel I have this problem :(.

But believe me, its such a nag, I have seen the bad state come after a day too :p. Meanwhile, I am on a new kernel without many of the fancy patches (cfs sched, adaptive/ondemand read ahead, phc, 'powertop' and what not). Just been several hours. So far so good. (PS : For the first time, hibernate works for me :).

I've been having good luck since my last reboot, up almost two days
now. Playing music, watching video, lot's of other stuff that could
stress my wakeups, but no real issues.

What I did. I changed my configuration in KDE audio configuration to
use alsa, it was previously set to "auto". artsd doesn't even show up
on the radar anymore. This is gooooood. I'm crossing my fingers and
hoping that my configuration holds up in the long term.

Hirakendu, if you haven't tried this yet give it a shot.

Yahoooo! (for now)

Kelly
