I'd say it depends on the model of GPU, but don't forget GPUs nowadays
have more transistors than CPUs. (Latest Intel CPUs have 300 million,
Latest ATI GPUs have more than 700 million ; though that's for desktop
chips)
I wouldn't be surprised if a GPU not in powersave mode would suck up
to 8 Watts.
